Deutsches Aktieninstitut has responded to a consultation of the EU Commission on "Sustainable Corporate Governance". In its responses, it addresses the proposals for the introduction of a regulation concerning supply chains and points out the need to make the requirements for companies practicable and proportionate. The latter also refers to the liability rules in case of violations. In addition, it rejects changes in company law, like the duty of care of directors, for example, to balance the interests of all stakeholders of the company in entrepreneurial decisions and a direct right of action of stakeholders against director" to enforce such duty of care.
